BeforeUDig

BeforeUDig is an online service that provides information on the location of underground cables, pipes, and other utility assets. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, the company has requested a brand refresh that would help them reposition themselves as a leader in the utility industry.

After researching the competition and stakeholders, the direction of the rebranding was clear: BeforeUDig needed to reposition itself as a technology company, becoming a thought leader in their industry.

Our brand redesign process was very meticulous and well thought out. Renato actively sought input from stakeholders and integrated all of their requirements into the final design. The new wordmark used a custom typeface to convey the new essence of the brand while still keeping recognisable elements and colours. The subtlety of the shapes offers layers of complexity and aggregates multiple aspects of the service and industry, such as underground locating and utility mapping.
